Arranging Your Own Pickup from the Bonded Warehouse

Want your own forwarder to collect goods stored in our bonded warehouse in China? Goods in a bonded warehouse can't be picked up there directly, so we move them to our Hong Kong facility, and your forwarder collects them there.

This article shows you what to expect, what we need from you, and how to make pickup day go smoothly.

Things to keep in mind

  • We ship to Hong Kong only after your pickup is confirmed. Send your pickup details early to avoid delays.

  • Collect on time. Goods left uncollected may move to an external warehouse, and storage charges will apply.

  • Using more than one forwarder? Send pickup details for each one.

  • Watch the wording on return documents. Don't use the words "repair" or "maintenance" anywhere in your customs return documents.

  • Plan around holidays. Public holidays in China and Hong Kong can push back ready and pickup dates. We'll confirm available dates with you.

Pickup options

You have two ways to collect your goods. Most merchants choose pickup in Hong Kong.

Option one: pickup in Hong Kong (recommended)

We transship your goods to our HK facility, and your forwarder collects them at:

Unit 800, 8/F, Kerry Cargo Centre, 55 Wing Kei Road, Kwai Chung, Hong Kong

Option two: customs return to the factory

We send your goods back to the factory, and your forwarder collects them there. Choose this only if you must collect in China. You'll need to provide five documents:

  • Return Agreement between buyer and seller, matching the original customs declaration

  • Return Application Report

  • Inspection Report, issued under the overseas consignee's name on the original export declaration

  • Proof of Non-Refunded Export Tax

  • Packing List and Invoice (a pro forma invoice works)

What we need from you

Send us these three things before we move your goods to Hong Kong.

  1. Packing instructions. Tell us about any special packing needs. Once we finish packing, we'll send you the updated Packing List and reference photos.

  2. Your written go-ahead. Review the updated Packing List, then confirm in writing that we can transship your goods.

  3. Pickup details. Send these at least two days before your planned pickup:

    • Pickup date and time

    • ID number and phone number of the person collecting

    • License plate number of the pickup vehicle

Your forwarder can collect starting the day after your goods arrive in Hong Kong.

Forwarder booking and pickup day

Booking your forwarder

You're the shipper on this booking, so you and your forwarder complete the booking form. We'll give you:

  • Product details and item names

  • Dimensions and weight from the Packing List

You provide the rest, including Incoterms, trade terms, transport mode, shipper details, and cargo ready date. List your own company name and address as the shipper. Use our HK facility only as the pickup address.

On pickup day

  1. We move your goods to Hong Kong and let you know when they arrive.

  2. We send you the final packing slip.

  3. Your forwarder collects at the confirmed time, using the collector and vehicle details you sent.
