To avoid fulfillment delays, make sure your Shopify listings match what's synced to Portless one-to-one. If you update SKUs or variants in Shopify, update them in Portless as well so your changes are reflected accurately and orders keep flowing smoothly.
When to notify Portless of changes
If you make any of the following changes in your Shopify store, you must inform Portless:
SKU Changes. Modifying, adding, or removing SKUs.
Variant Title Changes. Updating the name of any variant.
Number of Variants. Adding or removing variants from a Portless-synced product.
Variant Option Name Changes. Renaming options (e.g., changing "XS" to "xs" or "Pink" to "Hot Pink").
Why this matters
Keeping Portless informed of product changes ensures:
Accurate sync between Shopify and our fulfillment system
Smooth processing of fulfillment requests
No delays or errors caused by mismatched SKUs or variant data
Failure to notify us of changes can lead to:
Sync errors
Declined fulfillment requests
Delayed or missed shipments
