Exporting Shopify Orders for Bulk Order Creation Requests

Pull your Shopify order data and format it for bulk order creation with Portless.

If you need to create multiple orders at once, this article walks you through how to export your order data from Shopify and submit it to Portless using the Order Import Template. You'll learn how to filter and export orders from your Shopify admin, open the file in a spreadsheet, and copy the data into the template before submitting it to the Portless team.

Prepare your bulk order creation request

Step 1 - Create a copy of the Portless template

Open the Portless Order Import Template and create a copy. You'll use this to format your order data before submitting it to Portless.

Step 2 - Filter and select your orders in Shopify

In your Shopify admin, navigate to Orders in the left sidebar. Use filters to narrow by date range, fulfillment status, or other criteria. You can also select individual orders using the checkboxes, or skip filtering to export all orders.

Shopify will send a download link to your account email, or you can download it directly from the pop-up if that option is available.

Step 3 - Copy your data into the template

Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets, then copy the data into your Portless Order Import Template.

Step 4 - Contact Portless

Review the completed template and make sure all information in each column is correct. Once ready, submit a ticket through the Portless Help Center with the template attached. You can also reach us via the chat bubble in the Merchant Admin Portal or by emailing [email protected].
